This engaging and educational event is designed to teach students about the importance of water through hands-on activities and interactive exhibits—all set against the beautiful backdrop of Batawa Ski Hill

What is the Tri-County Children’s Water Festival?

This free, one-day festival is designed for Grade 4 students, with accommodations for split classes (Grades 3/4 & 4/5). The festival provides an immersive learning experience where students explore the science of water, conservation, and environmental stewardship through interactive, curriculum-connected activities.

What to Expect?

Held at Batawa Ski Hill, the festival offers a unique outdoor setting where students rotate through a variety of engaging learning stations. Some highlights include:

Drinking Water Protection – Discover how we keep our water sources clean

Aquatic Life Exploration – Get up close with fish, bugs, and other creatures that call our waterways home.

Water Conservation Games – Find out how small actions can make a big difference!

Who Can Attend?

Teachers of Grade 4 classes (including split classes 3/4 & 4/5) are encouraged to register early, as space is limited. This is a fantastic out-of-classroom experience that aligns with Ontario curriculum expectations in science, geography, and environmental studies
