Lower Trent Conservation
Did You Know?

In the past 100 years, anywhere from 200 to 500 terrestrial vertebrate species have gone extinct. This is at least 100 times greater than the natural rate of extinction. 40.7% of amphibian species are endangered or at risk of becoming endangered.

Education

Lower Trent Conservation recognizes that the students of today are the environmental stewards of tomorrow. Through a variety of educational activities, young people are educated about the importance of environmental protection and stewardship of our watershed.

Our youth environmental programs are not funded through traditional government sources. These programs are only possible through donations and grants. Our ‘Connecting KIDS with NATURE’ programs include a variety of youth environmental education programs like the Tri-County Children’s Water Festival, In Class Programming, and Spring Water Awareness.
