Seymour Closed for Military Training

Northumberland County is preparing to welcome approximately 800 members of the Canadian Armed Forces for a planned emergency training exercise taking place on April 25–27, 2025. Part of the military training will take place at Seymour Conservation Area, where Lower Trent Conservation will be closing Seymour Conservation Area from April 25 at 2PM –28 for the safety of both users and the participants in the training exercise. Soldiers will not be armed but military personnel and vehicles will be visible in the local area. For safety, public observation of training is not permitted.
