Federal funding for two freshwater projects in the Bay of Quinte

On Thursday, September 28, Environment Minister, Steven Guilbeault, announced $2.7 million would be going to freshwater projects surrounding the Great Lakes that would include the Bay of Quinte.

The money will be invested over three years in 24 different projects.

For the Bay of Quinte, this includes the Lower Trent Conservation Authority receiving $276,000 in a project regarding reducing soil erosion and phosphorus loading.
