Cleaning the Greenbelt

Lower Trent Conservation Staff took to the shores of the Trent River for an afternoon of cleaning up garbage. Staff scrambled over rocks and into the trees finding some interesting treasures along the way….a consistent find was dog poop bags tied in trees….which made staff scratch their heads.

LTC staff focused their efforts at the Trenton Greenbelt Conservation Area which is located in the heart of Trenton at the gateway to the historic Trent-Severn Waterway. This ribbon of green is Trenton’s only urban riverside natural area, popular for hiking, cycling, wildlife viewing, and fishing, over 2.5 kilometre long. Come and visit the conservation area today!
